Speed of editing

Speed of editing

The speed of editing is basically to make the audience to feel different emotions. If the audience feel relaxed and feel to watch the film normally the scenes of the films can last for a long period of time. For example genres that show this are comedies, science fiction and romance films.

On the other hand if the audience is feeling suspense, the scences should be quick and sharp allowing the audience to think what is happening. It leaves them shocked, scared and worried. This is because they do not know what is oging to happen to the other character of the film.

Some films, the speed of editing is used in trailers. We can see this as they pack so much information into a scene as quick as poosible to give the audience an understanding as to what the film is going to be about. Also in films there could be a really slow introduction so not only the audience but the people making the film can understand and have the acknowledge to what is happening and what we should be looking out for.

As shown, speed of editing is to show different moods, different feelings and different cultures of the film made. There are many moods created in a film such as suspense, pressure and abit of laughter. It can also create calm atmospheres and it can create a calm and relaxed film.
